Refreshing Lemon Green Ice Tea

I love drinking tea all year long; I have a cup of green tea before breakfast, peppermint tea during the day, and chamomile tea before bed.

There any many benefits to drinking tea! Many are decaffeinated or have very low percentage of caffeine, will leave you refreshed, clear your body toxins, help you to relax, and even an aid to fat loss. Try to avoid adding processed sugar or artificial sweeteners as it will ruin the effects of drinking it. I like to drink mine without sugar with a little bit of freshly squeezed lemon, lime or orange juice. When I’m craving something sweet I squeeze in a few drops of maple syrup or coconut nectar.

This recipe is made of green tea and it is super refreshing and only sweetened with a little bit of maple syrup. Green tea is one of the most powerful antioxidants that protects our cells from damage. If consumed regularly it can lower the risk for some cancers and the risk of heart disease. It also helps to work as a metabolism booster. Organic Japanese Loose green tea is always the best but tea bags will do as well. Always buy organic tea in unbleached bags to avoid chemicals which can be harmful to your body.
